How quickly will my ads be live?

We aim to get all your campaigns built within 14 days from receiving access to your marketing accounts. This applies to both Facebook and Google campaigns.

Do you have a contracted period?

We do not believe in locking you in to any long-term contract. You can leave one of our packages at any time. However, we do recommend that you trial our services for approximately 3 months.

Why should we pay you to manage our paid advertising campaigns?

Managing successful campaigns is what we do. As experts, our campaign managers understand the latest Google AdWords trends, and with the digital landscape changing so rapidly, that can give you an edge over your competition.

What is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is a free tool provided by Google to assess the traffic on your website: where it comes from, what it does and why they do it. At ProPosition data drives everything we do. So our access to Google Analytics is key to optimising your digital campaigns.

Google Ads

What is Google Ads?

Google Ads (formerly Google Adwords) is Google’s advertising platform. It is a pay-per-click advertising model that requires advertisers to bid on keywords in order for their own clickable ads to appear in Google search listings when those keywords are searched.

Why should I use Google Ads?

Google Ads is the largest digital advertiser in the world, with billions of searches every single day. This scope gives businesses of all types access to market to a wide range of users all over the world. More importantly, unlike Facebook Ads, Google Ads contains “search intent”, the concept that when a user searches for ‘red shoes online’ they are interested in that product.

What is CPC (Cost Per Click) or PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising?

CPC (Cost Per Click) or PPC (Pay Per Click) means you only pay for an ad if someone clicks on it. PPC Advertising is one of the most common types of digital advertising.

How much does Google Ads cost?

There is no magic figure for a regular Google Ads budget. Some people suggest a Google Ads budget should reflect 10% of a total marketing budget, but the beauty of Google Ads is you set the terms yourself. Our Google Ads campaign managers can help you determine a marketing approach and monthly budget that works best for your business.

What’s the difference between Google Ads and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)?

SEO is a longer term game and involves the correct set up of your website and online presence, ultimately to bring you more organic search and referral traffic. You don’t pay for this traffic, but you’ll pay with time and money getting it right. Google AdWords is a fast way of bringing in targeted traffic to your website. It is fast to set up, and a far faster way to generate traffic than SEO (generally). Both are ongoing investments, but you’ll only pay for AdWords clicks when people are interested in your product (generally).

Why does a campaign need to be managed and optimised each month?

Your campaigns need to be managed and optimised regularly to make them work better over time, and allow you to expand on them. The advertising space isn’t static. There’s millions of calculations performed in a real time auction every time an ad is displayed. Optimising it means your campaigns will continue to improve and expand. Even if nothing was touched, and other advertisers started new campaigns, your results could be very different on a week to week or month to month basis.

What kind of Return on Investment can I expect?

Return on Investment (ROI) or Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) is one of the key metrics we use to measure the performance of our ads, not traffic or impressions. In the first couple of months, we expect ROAS to be around 2-3 times with the goal of increasing this every month. Of course it depends on your industry, website and products as well!

I don’t have a Google Ads account, will you help me create one?

Of course, we will help you with every step of the process, including setting up an account if you have not done so.

Why are my ads not appearing when I search myself?

Your ad may not be appearing for a variety of reasons, including IP exclusion, running out of available ad spend or not targeting the correct keywords in the correct locations. If you don’t see your ad showing, don’t stress! Put it in the back of your mind, let our experts work their magic, and get ready for business to pick up.

How do you choose which keywords to target? Can I choose my own?

You know a lot about your business. We know a lot about ours. Together we’ll make some magic. Our AdWords campaign managers work with you in a collaborative sense, gaining valuable insight into your industry, what you offer and who you are targeting. We’ll analyse your market and identify what keywords would best be utilised in your industry. From there we’ll be able to implement the most effective AdWords strategy for you.

Facebook Ads

What is Facebook Ads?

Facebook Ads allow you to advertise on the world’s largest social media network, including Instagram and Whatsapp. The come in a variety of forms within the Facebook’s newsfeed, on Facebook Messenger and among other popular placements on the platform.

Why should I use Facebook Ads?

From a scientific perspective, you need ads because the odds are against organic posts. Organic reach on Facebook is about 1%, maybe less. That means that if you have 100 Page Likes, only one of them will see your post. From a business perspective, you can’t expect stellar results if you’re cheaping out on advertising. Additionally, ads let you reach people who don’t Like your Page or know who you are, but are interested in the types of things you offer.

How much does Facebook Ads cost?

Like Google Ads, there is no perfect figure for a Facebook Ads budget. Our Facebook Ads campaign managers can help you determine a marketing approach and monthly budget that works best for your business. We assess this by looking at the scope of your potential market, and also existing traffic levels on your website.

Why does a campaign need to be managed and optimised each month?

There’s millions of calculations performed in a real time auction every time an ad is displayed. Optimising it means your campaigns will continue to improve and expand. Are Facebook Ads better than Google Ads?

Facebook Ads and Google Ads are fairly different in the way they target people. Google targets based on what people are typing in the search right that moment (as well as demographics). Facebook targets based on interests that people have in their profile (Pages people have liked, Interests they may have added, and demographics targeting based on 3rd party data). At ProPosition we use Facebook and Google Ads differently for different types of businesses that are best suited to a certain marketing channel.
